We arrived this afternoon at Madden’s Resort in Gull Lake, Minnesota for a seven night stay. Brian’s family have been coming to this charming lakeside resort since the 80’s.
More recently, his mom (Busha) and step-father (Mike) have convinced their kids to come back to Madden’s every other year for a reunion of siblings and their families.
Our kids are among the youngest of that generation (Shane Stewart at 20 is the eldest). At any rate, it’s great to get everyone together to reminisce and re-connect.
Sadly, not all of the siblings could make it this year so our contingent of vacationers were short by a few.
Madden’s boasts 4 golf courses, a spa, convention center and 1,000 acres of lakefront property. It sits on a peninsula into Gull Lake so it’s primary attractions are water sports.
The kids immediately donned their swim gear and set off for their first Madden’s adventure; exploring the new inflatables.
Our day wrapped up with a delightful dinner in the Inn which shares space with the golf clubhouse.Fingers 🤞for good weather. We will report more adventures tomorrow!
